| Children's Choir Parents
It's been decided this year to have a parent's group meet from
5:45 - 6:15 p.m. on Sunday evenings while the children are with Mrs.
Fox for choir practice .
Our hope is that parents will stay and join us rather than run home
and then back again or just sit in the car! Phyllis Verderame,
assisted by Jeannette Thomas, will lead the group in studying Psalms
in a prayerful and meditative way. We will meet in the Narthex. It
should be a wonderful 30 minutes to bring the weekend to a close and
get prepared for the busyness of the week ahead.
The group began on September 18, 2011 and will meet each time
there is choir. Hope to see many of you there! |

Wednesday and the 4th Sunday of
each month. Meetings will run from 6:30-8:30 p.m. and always
promise to be entertaining, enlightening, and just plain fun! They

CAMP NEWS
Attention
Campers and kids who haven't yet camped! Our camps at
Kirchenwald and Nawakwa have a great variety of experiences
available again this year. At Kirchenwald you can spend the
week living in the tree house or the lakeside outpost and live like
a pirate. Nawakwa offers Blast Off, rocketry of course, and
Wild Things. There are lots of other programs and certainly
one to fit your personality. The early registration deadline,
for $15 off the prices, is April 6th.
If you didn't get a camping brochure in the mail, see Jeanette
Yewdall for more information and a great start to camp. New
this year is a family camp at Kirchenwald. Great things happen
at camp. Consider it!
Summer Camp Open House at
Kirchenwald & Nawakwa
Sunday, April 14th
2:00-4:30 p.m.
You are invited to visit
Kirchenwald or Nawakwa on March 17th
or April 14th. Take a

all about!
As a bonus, they will give a $10
gift certificate for the camp store to every brand new camper! |

Massanetta Church Music Conference
This
summer we will again take members of our Children’s and Youth Choirs to
the Massanetta Church Music Conference. The conference also includes a
college-aged program called Pumped Up! This fun-filled and educational
activity will take place at Massanetta Springs Conference Center in
Harrisonburg, VA from July 28th thru August 2nd. The theme of the
conference is "A World of Praise" and will focus on music that spans the
globe. The young people will have the opportunity to work with
nationally known clinicians such as Tim Waugh and Mark Sedio as well as
participate in camp adventures and bible study.
The designated special offering for
March will go to help fund this significant activity. Last year we had
twelve people from Palm attend. Your support is greatly appreciated. If
you have questions or want more information, please see Steve Inners or
Craig and Kathy Meyer, who will be chaperoning the event. |

ATTENTION!
PYG is
looking for interested people of any age
(yes, that means younger people, older
people, sons, daughters, moms, dads, aunts, uncles,
grandparents, and anyone else interested as well
– even those
without children – but with a desire to serve) to help plan,
coordinate, and carry out events for the young people of PYG.
This "Youth Ministry Committee" (YMC) will meet on a monthly
basis in an effort to help PYG in those events/experiences where
we may need help: planning, coordinating, and offering input on
meeting logistics, chaperones/drivers to and from events,
fundraisers, and anything and everything related to PYG. There
is no membership requirement and no initiation :-). You just
need a servant's heart and a willingness to be open to pitching
in for whatever is needed to further the faith lives of those
young people in and around Palm. Those interested in helping
serve on the YMC may email me at:
youth.director@palmlutheran.org.
The first YMC meeting is scheduled for Wednesday, September
14th, from 6-8PM at my house (6340 Clearfield Street,
Harrisburg, PA 17111).
